It’s important to note that carrier certifications will vary. Also keep in mind that you may get a discount on your AHIP certification fee by completing it as part of a carrier certification!
You also have the choice to complete your Medicare Advantage annual training through the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP, formerly known as NAHU, the National Association of Health Underwriters). The cost is less but not all carriers accept their training at this time. You can visit the NABIP website for more information.

Health Risk Assessments (HRA)
Helping your Medicare clients complete a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) has many benefits. It’s a great way to help you clients communicate their health needs to the plan provider so that they can obtain better care. Also, many plan sponsors will pay you a fee for helping your clients complete one. This fee is paid in addition to your sales commission! The process for each carrier is different. Refer to the individual carrier’s instructions to assist you in helping your clients complete their HRA. (Updated instructions will be posted as they are received.)
